About Adams State University

Adams State University is just one of the nicknames given to Adams State University. Located in Colorado, this is a public university with an emphasis on liberal arts studies. Established in 1921 as a normal school, it served as the Adams State Normal School and only offered educational programs for teachers. Most of its early graduates remained in Colorado and worked in local schools, but a small number of students moved to other parts of the west. The school later became Adams State College and then Adams State University. Many also call it ASU or Adams State. More than 3,000 undergrads enroll in the university each year, and a small number of graduate and doctoral students start their programs every year too.

Adams State University Accreditation Details

Undergrads and graduate students who want to bring any credits with them should have no problems transferring their credits because Adams State has regional accreditation.
